Celebrate the Year of the Rat with CultureFest! Lunar New Year
PHILADELPHIA – Presented in partnership with the Asian Arts Initiative, the 39th annual CultureFest! Lunar New Year at the Penn Museum showcases one of the most important holidays for Asian communities, Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. All activities are included with Museum admission.
CultureFest! Lunar New Year features traditional dance and music performances, martial arts demonstrations, storytelling, games, calligraphy and zodiac workshops, a vendor fair, and “creation stations” with crafts for all ages, such as rat mask-making and lantern-making.

As part of its ongoing Building Transformation project, the Penn Museum has just unveiled more than 10,000 square feet of reimagined spaces, including its new Sphinx Gallery; a suite of Africa Galleries; a Mexico and Central America Gallery; the historic Harrison Auditorium; and its stunning new Main Entrance.

The Café is open Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm and Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am-3:00 pm. On Sundays, the Café is open 10:30 am-2:30 pm.
