Description

Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio, color pale sard. Polynices, son of Oedipus and Jocasta. Antique Pastes, Case UUU.

Vermeule: Glass paste. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Color originally pale Sard. A warrior seated to right, cable border or late Etruscan style. Subject termed by Sommerville "Polynices son of Oedipus and Jocasta." The design shows a fine Greek style. Roman-Republic.
