Description

one of 2 strings of dentalium which should be strung as one string of 20 shells and one fragment of an odd shell. Shells are of the largest size and are wrapped with rattlesnake skin and connective tissue. This is a $100.00 money string in Yurok currency. One shell is engraved with the encircling figure of a snake. History of this specimen unknown.
