Description | small, black Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, flaring neck, flattened rim, 1 strap handle on the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in a reducing atmosphere as the surface is black and the interior is gray in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base. No other numbers are visible on the object. |
