Description | Bucchero oinochoe. Short ring foot with flat undersurface. Ovoid body, long neck with flaring rim, slight spout. Two protuberances on rim, one on either side of handle. Strap handle attached at lip and shoulder. Decorated with three sets of incised rings around the body. Each set is comprised of about 5 incised lines, although these are quite uneven and vary somewhat as one moves around the vase (as few as four or as many as eight). Surface quite encrusted. Several repaired cracks and breaks. Note: has a blue and white sticker with dots, with the number “4” written on it. |
