Description | Elk antler with woven rawhide lash attached at wide end and wrist attachment of black wool and red and natural cotton at opposite end. Three sets of incised parallel bands at wider end of quirt filled with alternating red and blue pigment; between sets of bands are four sets of drilled holes (two sets on each side of the quirt), two holes in each set being connected by an incised line. The holes of the set closest to the wide end are filled with blue pigment, the incised connecting lines with red; the holes of the other set with red pigment, connecting lines with blue. |
