Vermeule: Green jasper. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Psyche's butterfly walking Juno's peacock to right. The butterfly holds two reins which extend to the peacock's beak. Neo-Classic, copying a type of antique subject popular in decorative paintings, reliefs and on gems.
