Description | Round brown face, pulled to one side by crooked grin. One eye large and bulging, the other compressed, nose askew, mouth open in a wide lop-sided grin. Seven large square lower teeth. Real black fur eyebrows. Open slit under bulging eye, other eye an open hole, holes for nostrils and open mouth. Deeply carved and painted wrinkles in forehead and compressed cheek. A comic mask for the Balinese Topeng dance drama. Hole at top with fiber loop for hanging: probably made for sale. |
