Description | Male. Seated on stool. Wood colored black. Both hands hold central plait of triple beard. Face marks, row of prominent scars from ear to beard. COMMEMORATIVE FIGURE: The stool is the mark of rank. The whiskers and plaited beard are in the convention which belongs to the masks respresenting deities. Important personages are deified after death and become the objects of a cult. |
