Description | Circular body with flat back. Neck with 17 fixed metal frets. Peg box at slight angle to neck, 6 dorsal pegs. Strigs attached by 6 ebony pins inserted through wood piece and belly. Low metal fret imbedded in wooden piece also. belly of light wood, no rose in sound hole, decorative angular band around sound hole. Dark varnished wood for side and back ; decoration of V-shaped pieces of lighter wood at top and sides from neck. Diamond on back of body and starts on inlaid wood of different colors. Poor condition: bad cracks in body, 1 peg, 2 ebody pins missing. All but 2 strings broken. |
