Description | Bunches of yellow wainush [parrot?] feathers hanging from fiber cord. "Worn by children at the elote feast, or the ceremony of the first fruits. Prized for its yellow color which is the predominating color of this festival, possibly because of the yellow color of ripening corn. Worn as a necklace [bandoleer?] around the chest." Possibly came from shaman's basket 38-23-137. |
