Description | Boat model of solid teakwood, from the Dangs forest of South Gujarat. Bottom of boat is painted white with single continuous orange strip accented with blue and green at the prow. Sides surrounded deck are painted pale blue; certain features (3) on deck are white edged in navy blue. Two part mast secred with yellow nylon cord with small black weights. Boat is equipped with a small anchor and is mounted on a flat stand. This is a model of a kotia; which is a traditional sailing vessel of Kutch. |
