Description | Sommerville: Agate. An Amulet. On the reverse is the serpent of Cadmus, coiled in repose. Phoenician Amulets, Seals, Scarabei, Etc, Case GG. Vermeule: Agate. Intaglio. (Unmounted). Perforated; scaraboid shape, goat and kid; shell-like ornament carved on buck. Eastern Mediterranean? possibly not genuine. |
