Description

Canoe paddle. Sapling shaft, double-layered bark blade, cane lashings. This is a makeshift, ad hoc type of paddle, in contrast to regular one piece paddles which are often made of the same wood as the canoes. Made by David Kanong, Woran clan, Dome village. Purchased from maker 4/13/89. Made for collection.
