Description

Very thin silver cup, probably originally having plain bronze liner (?) Design in repousse with chased details. Upper border guilloche pattern, lower border double row of continous inverted "U" pattern. Main design of bison hunted by man with one spear, man with two spears and bucket, man poised to shoot second arrow (first already embedded in bisons shoulder.) Bison held at bay by mastiff type dog. The base is decorated with an engraved rosette. Cf. silver cup said to be from Amlash, purchased by the Cleveland museum.
