Description | A sort of overall shawl. Of two lengths of cotton, white homespun, fringed at each end (one end with two red border stripes), doubled and sewed together at edges, with openings left for head and arms. To show regret, on greeting, right shoulder is undraped (as European might tip or raise hat), and then re-covered. (Inf. Wm. Farrell 1949). |
