Description | Wood, bone, and spruce root. Bottom half of hook is made of yew or crabapple wood, carved to depict a seabird; the top half, which holds the bone barb, is made of yellow cedar, and shows abrasions due to halibut bites. The two halves and the barb are bound together by spruce root. |
