Description | Man's. Of feathers. Hemispherical cap of close netted cotton cord; covered with yellow feathers; plume of gray feathers at top. Three pendant strings of yellow feathers tipped with black at sides. At back hangs a layer of long macaw feathers overlaid by a layer of shorter macaw feathers--blue or red, tipped with black. Feathers from Scarlet Macaw, Blue-and-yellow Macaw, White-necked Heron, and toucan. |
