Description | Various axes that range in size. Most have shallow grooves with smooth, rounded polls and smooth, flat bit surfaces. Some of the axes have scratches on either side; unclear if these scratches are modern or relate to the axe's original use. All are made from various mafic or intermediate igneous stone with some stone axes containing a distinctly red mineral. |
