Description | Boar's tusk scraper (awon ninggambo) (awon = pig, ninggambo = tooth). Boar's tusk, pointed and perforated, slightly ground on one inner radius. main use is for shaping black palm bows, using the natural honing facet. This one has been drilled to be used as a personal ornament as well. Purchased from Kebenam Aniap, Meremko clan, Dome village 4/24/88. |
