Description

Wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted white and has multicolored triangles and lines painted around a triangular mouth. Horns are attached at the sides of the head and feathers on top of the head. Another bundle of feathers is attached to the back. The torso is painted orange and a white kilt is painted around the waist. This figure is the Havasupai (Konin) Katsina who represents the Havasupai people. (Colton, H. 1959 #143, Wright, B., 1973 #184)
