Vermeule: Carnelian. Intaglio. (Modern Gilt Ring Setting) A mythological scene, four figures one wearing a helmet and holding a shield, and a shild or Eros in their midst, stand in conversation beneath a tree. They are perhaps a group of divinities. Neo-Classic, imitating a Graeco-Roman intaglio.
