Description | Piston part of a fire piston. Wood, brown, tapering from flat round top to narrow end with depression for tinder. Below the top a carved knop and a band of incised chevrons and short parallel lines. This, together with 50-49-1532B, found with 50-49-1533. Original description: "Piston: light orange wood; decorative biconical expansion below rounded, flat, push-knob; top of piston shaft bears incised centiipede motif." |
