Description | Circular lamp with short volute type nozzle with small wick hole. Handleless with concave disc which is defined by two incised lines, one within the other. Disc decorated in plastic relief with a rider in a biga driving right with ground beneathl beneath ground is fill hole, no evidence of burning. Base defined, but no decoration besides indiscernable incuse stamp. Lamp overall brown glaze. mold made. Broneer Type XXIII |
