Description | Head with long nose, pig tusks protruding from side of mouth. Clay on vegetable fiber. Painted. Made during the circumcision ceremony of a group of young men. One made for each initiate. Item must be paid for with a pig: payment of the pig is for the right to make the artifact (copyright). The mask made by one of the older men is actually given to the initiate and is placed in the Nakamal after the ceremony. Item name: umbogimog (h)ut |
