Description | Red cotton with jaspe plaid effect overlay. Figurative strips, rim horizontal. Bought in Guatemala City central market. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 38 epi, single, Z twist, red cotton with two singles, Z twist, indigo cotton in selvedge. Single, Z twist, white cotton warp stripes. Weft: 42 ppi, single, Z twist, red cotton and indigo and white jaspe cotton. Balanced plain weave. Woven on a foot loom." |
