Description | Clay puppet, four fingers, no body decoration. Clay on vegetable fiber, painted. Depicts a young man being circumcised. A young man being circumcised pays and older man for the right to make a particular puppet, which in turn is sold by him to the next group of initiates. Pigs are used as the form of payment. Red is face color. Each puppet is decorated in a personal style by the maker. Lack of body decoration indicates that the maker has not made Nimangi-pig killing ceremony and feast.
