Description

Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio, color pale sard. Hannibal. Antique Pastes, Case TTT.

Vermeule: Glass paste, imitating pale sard. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Bust of a bearded warrior facing right. Sommerville identifies him as Hannibal, but he may be simply Ares, the God of War. Graeco-Roman.
