Description | Black Bowl with a squat-globular body, no neck/collar, flanged rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior and a smoothed finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in a reducing atmosphere as the surface is black and the interior is gray in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written on the interior of vessel. No other numbers are visible on the object. |
