Description | Thin base; ovoid body; nearly cylindrical neck; overhanging lip; handle from shoulder to lip with a rotelle on each side at top. Lower wall reserved, with 3 groups of 8 or 9 tongues each. Above them to just below lower handle attachment the wall is covered with very streaky black glaze in which are incised two rows of scale pattern. At level of lower attachment is a broad panel of tongues. Neck, lip and handle are covered with streaky black glaze. |
