Description

Bowl-shaped, of thin hide, bordered with strips of the same material stitched on with thongs. Minute nipple-shaped boss. Centre of reverse covered with round piece of hairy hide; to this are stitched two parallel straps to hold the shield by, and a sling which passes through a thong loop fastened near the rim. Received with attribution, "Nigeria".
