Description | Elaborately carved. Short round mouthpiece goes into broad spirals; stem narrows then flares into a head-painted dark, eyes indicated - with a beak from which stem emerges and goes into a flat rectangular panel (bottom corners are cut off), about one third of the whole length; this panel has 3 cut-outs - two narrow rectangular panels on either side of center, and, farther down, a round hole - and is lightly carved with various geometric elements pit in separate design areas. Top more carved than bottom; red paint in some incisions. |
