| Description | Mask with raised eyes, mouth, and a large nose on one side. There is a perforation along each edge. The mask is tear drop shaped with a pointy chin. It has raised outlines of eyes, an incised mouth, and a large nose. There are two perforations along the edge. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior and a smoothed finish on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange and gray in color. Fireclouding is present on the The catalogue number is written on the back. Black ink on the back of the mask reads: "1108i." |
