Description | Skirt fabric with black cotton background with small, yellow checks. Yellow and white stripe (6 cm wide) panel running length of fabric. Used in Coban, for up to 30 year old person. Style appeared in late 1960's. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 40 epi, single, Z twist, black cotton. Two ply, white and yellow cotton. Two ply red cotton in selvedge. Weft: 40 ppi, single, Z twist, black cotton. Two ply, yellow cotton. Balanced plain weave. Woven on a treadle loom." |
