Intact. Fabric of medium fine texture, brick red throughout, covered, except for upper surface of the rim, with a cream slip. Handmade, with wheel-made rim. Designs in red; zones of geometric patterns, hatched triangles and pairs of parallel chevrons joined by cross lines and enclosing crossed diagonals on the neck; hour-glass patterns with their long axes alternately horizontal and vertical, and groups of waved and perpendicular lines on shoulder. Zone below divided by groups of perpendicular lines into metopes filled with crossed diagonal rows of dots. Below handles a row of small parallel chevrons, their apices to the right. Lowest zone of ornament, metopes between groupd of upright lines filled with two rows of similar chevrons one above another. Above either handle are two parallel waved lines. This vase seems to be from the smae workshop and very probably from the same hand as MS1031, MS1032, and MS1034.
