Description | Cylindrical basket with two cloth handles at the rim. Decorated with multiple bands of false embroidery designs. The lowest design band is a "raven's tail" pattern in white, black, and brown. Bands across the middle and below the rim are in an elongated "tide" or "wave" pattern in white and black. Between these two bands is a "butterfly" pattern in white, black, and brown. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"). 13 warps and 17 rows per square inch. |
