Description

Cf. 29-89-265. The lower end of the upper band or collar of carved ornament has two wide notches. 4 barbs on point. The false (bamboo) butt has been removed showing the filling of banana leaf which served to wedge the section of bamboo on to the thickened end of the shaft proper under the lashing of coir twine: cf. the ends of the shafts of 29-89-265 to 29-89-279 compare P 3434 and P 3434 a to d.
