Description

A subdiscoidal scraper. This is a round, flat percussion flake with retouch around 3/4 of its periphery (its thinness and imperfect circular shape are implied by the term "subdiscoidal"). Such tools are know from the Upper Paleolithic and Mesolithic, but poor quality examples such as this more generally occur in the Middle or Late Neolithic in Italy.
