Description

Hole in bottom, vertical handle missing; otherwise complete. Body nearly spherical. Neck is a broad funnel shape. Bottom unglazed, otherwise fully glazed on exterior. Three bands of white around the neck. Hard, light brown clay. Black glaze badly worn and peeled. For general shape see Desborough "Protogeometric Pottery" pl. 9, and pl. 29, C.
