Description

The rim of this vessel incurves a bit to create a very slightly restricted form. The vessel is grey, has a trough spout the end of which appears to be broken away, a single vertical strap handle opposite the spout and running from the rim to the middle of the pot, and a very slightly rounded base. A zig-zag line is incised above the base of the pot and around the base of the handle and the spout. Incised elongate dashes occur adjacent to this motif on the exact line where the base and side of the pot join and where the spout and handle join the pot sides. General shape of the vessel is smooth and globular and bowl-like. Condition of vessel is poor - sherd is missing from the rim and the side of the pot is crumblnig at this weak point; much of pot is coated with concretion.
