Description

Serving platter carved in shape of shark (sp. iri) for the Waumwaumwa cult of Natagera village. This server is a copy of the original, made by ritual leader Reresimae, which is still in the canoe house there. Pork to be consumed in the public communion services was passed to the communicants in such a platter. It was not used for anything else.
