Description | Ceremonial, white plain cotton weave, selvedges finished in purple cotton, two breadths, design in purple and red cotton thread, stylized animals and plants. Neck finished in purple yellow and green silk. "As Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 42 epi, 3 single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 28 ppi, 3 single, Z twist, white cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplemental weft - 2 faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
