Description | Blade slightly curved; the cutting edge is on the convex side. The hilt, round, with flattened sides towards both faces of the blade, is wrapped with narrow strips of leather held in place with wire stitcheing, except for the pommel (bare metal). The latter is square in section, slightly curved downwards towards the rest of the hilt, which is also of metal, overlaid with wood under the leather wrapping. |
