Description | Saung. Boat-shaped harp. Made of wood and hide with multi-colored glass inlay ornamentation and gilding. Wood body and neck painted gold. Designs formed with pieces of red and blue inlaid glass on body and neck. Wood handle painted gold, with inlay attached to body on side. Parchment soundboard, painted gold, with four circular soundholes decorated with red and blue glass inlay. Ridge in middle of soundboard (running lengthwise) with holes for thirteen strings (two strings broken). Several tassles attached along neck. Good condition. |
