Description | red jar with two painted birds, globular body, flaring neck collard and with applied bands below mouth, two vertical loop handles on shoulder Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a globular body, compound neck, flattened rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. The vessel has a red slip and is painted in white with birds, stripes on the handles, and white circles around the handles. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The vessel has a rough surface. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "3131." |
