Description

Servilleta. Double-weave, brocaded with human and animal figures on striped background. All hand-made, centrally located geometric designed brocade. Colors include red, blue, orange, green, purple, maroon, yellow, white, yellow-orange, and pink. Fringe on either end. Made in 1970.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 56 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, red cotton and two ply orange, purple, green, blue cotton and 3 ply burgandy cotton. Weft; 12 ppi, 4 singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft - single faced. 2 panels - 2 selvedges each. Made backstap loom."
