Description

Canoe king post type. Iconography: double iri species shark heads with Janus-type human head between sharks' jaws. Bird carvings above, geometric band below. Black stained with light-blue painted design details. 6 detachable fins (67-5-132 B-G). Copy of two original carvings in the Natagera canoe house. Carver: Faruara of Natagera, Santa Ana. Commissioned by W. Davenport.
