Description | Point or arrowhead. Diamond shaped bifacially retouched tool. Long point. Short projections at widest point. Shorter rounded point at end. Opaque obsidian, translucent at edges. 29-183-7 is one of many stemmed points in the collection. It is particularly similar to 29-183-6 only slightly larger. Stemmed points or arrowheads appear in sites from the Late Paleolithic to Yayoi Period. Without context, arrowheads such as these can only be assigned a broad date range. |
