Description | Made without a foot. Body egg-shaped. Tall, slender neck, trefoil lip. Strap handle with relief head at base rising from shoulder above and down to back of lip. On front a large female head in 3/4 view. To left or head is a vertical cornucopia. Possibly a representation of the earth goddess, Ge? Large palmette beneath handle with large convolutions of foliage on either side. On lower wall, small wave pattern. On shoulder, laurel. White tongue pattern on neck. Intact. White and yellow for details. |
