Description | Circular, twined, spruce root tray. Decorated on one side with geometric designs done with overlay stitches in tan, dark brown, green, and pink. Designs include repeating triangles, radiating lines of alternating colors, and meander patterns. The pattern on the reverse is only of the radiating lines. The edge is unfinished with the warp sticks cut evenly around. A contemporary version of this tray (2013-19-1) was made by the Tlingit weaver, Teri Rofkar, in 2010. |
